I don’t think we really need to know the name of the person who may have a family with kids in our school system. It doesn’t seem that he is posing a present danger to our society here in Croton. So let the justice system handle the case without us jumping in and causing more grief for his family.
The name of the person is a matter of public record, and yes I think that villagers will want to know exactly who was arrested and what they were charged with. That is routine news reporting and it would be improper for reporters to withhold names in such cases. Our court system is fully transparent in most cases such as this.
