What’s stopping Valaria Davis from entering Maple Commons?

Can Management ban individuals?

How can we protect the residents and advocate for a guard booth?

I feel for the law abiding residents of Maple Commons.

Nice to know that waving a knife around is not a criminal offense. So if an individual commits a crime in another Village or Town the police there will have no record and it won't go down as a second offense. Most domestic disputes do not end well. I hope this is not the case.

Valaria Davis pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of “attempted menacing.” She is on a year’s probation and if she re-offends she is obviously in big trouble. I will not comment on the judge’s decision to turn this into a civil rather than criminal finding. She is in a drug treatment program and that might have had something to do with his decision, however.

Is the legal maxim "Justice delayed is justice denied" coming into play here? No swift justice in Croton/Westchester! The only people making out are the lawyers.

Having reported on many cases out of our local courthouse, I can say that the pace of justice is fairly normal. Swift justice is often no justice at all.

And we are paying them because most likely some of the defendants have little or no money!
