I am happy we have a winner from each opposing group. Hopefully, they will be able to put any animosity aside and work together for the betterment of our children.

Thank you for calling out the mob. I very much appreciate the moral clarity, but I think we’re avoiding the elephant in the room. That is, Allison and Leslie, among other things, advocated for kids of a certain background, and “Progressives” would have none of it. I think we need to confront that very profound ugliness in our community.

They’re only “progressive” when it comes to the hive mind. Any sort of diversity in thought puts a target on your back for them to call you all sorts of “-ist” and “-phobe” names.

Great article! Leslie and Allison helped to open up a dialogue in our community that was much needed. Our Board of Education in the past did answer questions at regular meetings and responded to email questions. This newer communication style of a Stalin-like Politburo is more recent and has been in practice for only about 5 years. It seems our community resoundingly voted for more dialogue, transparency and accountability.
