Guest Editorial: Voice of Croton announces its slate for November's village election.
After an impressive write-in campaign last year, the village political group will now be on the ballot for mayor and two trustee positions.
Editor’s Note: We earlier announced the Croton Democrats slate for village elections this fall. The Chronicle will cover the campaigns closely as the year goes on.
From its start, Voice of Croton has worked to provide transparent leadership that encourages and embraces community involvement. Since the conclusion of last year’s write-in campaign, we have reflected on the feedback, support and constituents' overwhelming hope we will continue our mission to put Croton back on the right track for the short and long term.
Today, it is our pleasure to affirm that Voice of Croton will participate in the November 4, 2025 General Election. With three open seats — Mayor and two Trustees — we are excited to announce that Stacey Nachtaler will join Gary Eisinger and Nigel Ravelo as highly qualified candidates on the ballot to build a stronger, more inclusive Croton.
Central to our campaign is a substantive community-oriented platform of initiatives that continues to be shaped by the vision of Croton residents. We encourage constituents to review and provide input at www.voiceofcroton.org.
As our overarching platform, we pledge to:
Preserve the Magic of Croton: We will incorporate our village identity into the planning of any new projects to preserve our charm and character.
Pursue Development that Benefits Village Residents: We will ensure potential developments and holdover projects follow the village comprehensive plan in providing community give-backs, bolstering village revenues and enhancing our environment.
Foster a Climate of Inclusivity: Differing opinions contribute to a stronger community and better decision making. We know that consensus does not mean unanimous agreement. However, we are committed to encouraging a climate where moderate views are welcomed and valued. While every voice might not align, each voice will be heard.
Promote Transparency on Village Agenda Topics: We believe in fostering an informed community, where feedback shapes policies and projects early in their development, not just in the days leading up to a public hearing. By sharing upcoming agenda topics further out in advance, we empower residents to better engage with the issues that matter. We encourage the community to provide input as policies and projects take shape, not merely in the current status quo of two days before a public hearing.
Actively Engage with Advisory Boards: Our advisory boards consist of talented, dedicated members with expertise and insight crucial to our community's success. We aim to collaborate closely with these boards, ensure they represent the diverse voices of Croton, and integrate their recommendations into the decision making process.
Utilize Strategic Community Planning: We commit to a holistic approach in evaluating how simultaneous projects will interact with each other, while assessing their short and long-term impacts on infrastructure, traffic, environmental health, and social resources.
Enhance Essential Services, like Cellular Connectivity: We have unique experience in the telecom space that will help us investigate solutions to improve essential cellular service in the most sensible and appealing way possible to balance the need for modern connectivity with a commitment to Croton’s landscape.
Serve with Humility and a Willingness to Evolve: We will never become complacent in our positions so the torch of leadership can pass from passionate resident to passionate resident as the positions of village trustee and mayor were designed.
Thank you for your ongoing trust, support and input. We are grateful for the opportunity to earn your vote this November and partner with you to enhance Croton’s neighborhoods, small business corridors, environment, and infrastructure.
Join us at voiceofcroton.org
Sincerely,
Gary Eisinger for Village Mayor
Stacey Nachtaler for Village Trustee
Nigel Ravelo for Village Trustee

ON the BALLOT this time!
Thrilled to see these fantastic candidates on the ballot this time. I look forward to voting for Village officials who actually listen to village residents and work hard to provide transparency.
