A very good interview with the Rabbi showing the utmost care and sensitivity to the situation here and abroad. Thank you for this thoughtful interview with great questions and answers. It felt more like a very interesting conversation on this topic. I appreciate that. I pray for peace for the entire world and especially in Israel and Palestine regions.

Kudos to Rabbi Jennifer Jaech for her even-headed response to some borderline baiting by The Croton Chronicle. Difficult subject, but her answers left plenty of room for all opinions. Having attended Temple Israel many years ago as a child, when Rabbi Michael Robinson (of Saint Augustine, Fla jail fame) and Rabbi Paul Steinberg were my teachers, the elder members of the temple included many Holocaust survivors and Veterans of WWll. I was raised to believe, never again. Yet, here we are and October 7th happened. As a descendent of family who came to this great country to escape famine and pograms, I am grateful for growing up in peaceful Croton. Such a gift. But I also represent those millions, not so fortunate, including some of my family who sleep in the forests of europe where they were executed, We all may have different points of view. I hope we see peace and healing for Israel and her neighbors in 5785 or at least in what remains of my lifetime. Thanks for publishing The Croton Chronicle's thoughtful interview. Yom Tov.

I agree that Rabbi Jaech was very well spoken. What you referred to as “borderline baiting“ were simply questions that many thousands of Jews are now asking of themselves and others.
