Including a link to the full text of the Complaint filed by the FBI against Eric Kyu.
As we reported earlier, Croton resident Eric Kyu was arrested by the FBI on August 7 and charged on August 8 with possession of child pornography. Bail in his case was set at $150,000 by U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew Krause of the Southern District of New York (SDNY), White Plains branch.
We have an update from the U.S. Attorney’s office for the SDNY.
Kyu has posted the required bail and is no longer incarcerated.
Kyu has not yet been indicted and so no U.S. district judge has been assigned to his case.
We previously published excerpts from the five page Complaint against Kyu. Please see this link for the full text.
Due to the sensitivities involved, we will turn off Comments on this post. We do not, however, have any control over comments that might be made on social media where the Chronicle is regularly posted and discussed.
Update August 21: After repeated queries went unanswered, Kyu’s employer, Regeneron, has now informed us that it is aware of the charges against its employee and that he is now on unpaid leave from the company.
Update August 22: A spokesperson for Regeneron got in touch with the Chronicle today to inform us that Kyu is no longer with the company. They did not provide further details at this time.
