Fernandez, facing serious charges in three courts, remains in jail without bail in Westchester County gun possession cases; Mataj is headed for likely indictment on Croton rape charges.
OSSINING and CROTON — Among the numerous court cases the Chronicle is currently following are those concerning Oliver Fernandez, who was arrested in Croton on January 31 on alleged gun possession and criminal contempt charges, and Azgan Mataj, arrested here on January 13 on charges of raping an adolescent girl at the Croton Marina.
Fernandez now has charges pending against him in three courts: Several counts of illegal gun possession, stemming from his arrest shortly after driving out of Maple Commons, are now pending in Westchester County Court; a charge of criminal contempt remains in Croton Village Court; and four independent charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and assault, are pending in Ossining Town Court.
