Taxes, Gouveia, housing, sustainability, cell towers, retaining walls, and more: Croton's Board of Trustees takes on nearly all the village's burning issues in one meeting.
Once again, the board members pass all motions unanimously, but not without some dissenting comments from members of the public.
While The Croton Chronicle only reports on Board of Trustee meetings when we consider them (or particular agenda items) newsworthy, last night’s session (February 28) seems worthy of a full report. Not only did it feature resolutions and discussions related to current burning issues in the village, but even some items that were not on the agenda—such as Croton’s housing policy—got considerable airing thanks to remarks made by local residents during public comment slots. In their own comments at the meeting, the trustees addressed several of these comments, although we have not seen less than unanimous votes on resolutions and laws for some time.
