Photo Corner: Croton Cats are back! Plus, a lonely but beautiful butterfly and a bird rescued by a former trustee.
Be sure to submit your photos for our regular Monday morning feature. See below.
We were warned that if we opened the door to cat pix, we would be deluged with submissions and live to regret it. The first prediction is true, the second, never!
These first are from Susan Ealer.
1. [Left] This is our rescue cat, Gruyere. She's named after my husband's favorite cheese. She's a sweet and feisty dilute calico Norwegian Forest Cat mix. As you can see in this photo, she loves to burrow. Just don't try and stick your finger in her box...

2. [Right] This is Easton, named after Easton, Pennsylvania, the town where we rescued him. Although he isn't really living up to it in this photo, his nickname is: "the Beast" because this 16 pound Norwegian Forest Cat mix has a HUGE personality. He will not be shy about asking for a bite of your turkey sandwich and will even try to go for the plastic wrapper it came in...
From Rocco Mastronardi: Benji is our rescue from New Orleans.
A true Mardi Gras tuxedo cat with the personality of the Big Easy.

Siblings Thomas (ginger) and Camille (tortie), by Catherine Kendall, who says that these are the cats that got her and her husband through the pandemic (and beyond.)
