Oliver Fernandez has four serious charges pending in Ossining Town Court [Updated April 2 — court appearances postponed]
The charges include endangering the welfare of a child and assault.
We have been following the criminal allegations against Oliver Fernandez of the Bronx, who has charges pending in Croton Village Court and Westchester County Court. He had a court appearance in White Plains on March 26, and is due in Croton Court on April 2.
It now turns out that Fernandez also has four charges pending in Ossining Town Court. The Chronicle was not initially aware of these charges because a misspelling of Fernandez’s name in Westchester County Department of Corrections records caused them not to show up in a search. That situation has now been rectified.
Fernandez, who was arrested in Croton on January 31, will appear in Ossining Town Court on Tuesday, April 1—the day before he appears in Croton—on the following alleged Penal Law violations:
— 260.10, Endangering the Welfare of a Child
— 120.14, Menacing in the second degree
— 145.00, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree
— 120.00, Assault in the third degree
The Chronicle will be present for both of Fernandez’s court appearances next week and we hope to provide more details at that time. As we reported earlier, his next appearance in Westchester County Court, on gun charges and criminal contempt, will be on April 23. Fernandez is currently incarcerated without bail at the Westchester County jail in Valhalla.
Update April 2, 2025: We reported earlier that Fernandez had a court date in Ossining Town Court yesterday, April 1, and in Croton Justice Court today, April 2. Both of those appearances have been postponed, to April 8 and April 16, respectively. No clear reasons were given, but we were told by the Ossining court staff that it was due to some kind of “quarantine” at the Westchester county jail in Valhalla. Staff there told us that there was no general quarantine in effect, and that the individual prisoner might be ill. We will update these cases as information becomes available.
