Oct 7 threat against Temple Israel turns up no explosive devices after building search.

The incident is still under investigation by law enforcement agencies.

An emailed threat sent to Temple Israel of Northern Westchester on Monday led to an evacuation of the building and a search by law enforcement personnel, but nothing suspicious was found. The incident was confirmed to the Chronicle by a spokesperson for the Croton Police Department.

Rumors of the incident had been circulating for the past two days, but details are still sparse. The spokesperson told us that since this was still an “ongoing investigation,” the department would not have more to say at this time.
