A special Tuesday hearing of Croton's Planning Board will address approval of the bins--which are already there--what color they will be, and whether the library will have to pay a fee to the village.
Sharp-eyed agenda watchers have no doubt already spotted notice of a public hearing before Croton’s Planning Board on Tuesday evening, November 5, concerning the book donation bins at the far end of the Croton Free Library’s parking lot.
While voters spend the day and evening slugging it out at the polls (unless they have voted early), and few villagers are likely to show up to the meeting when the nation’s future is on the line, some bookish issues will nevertheless be subject to public debate and our precious democratic processes.
