Come Join Us For The Season of Lent
Asbury United Methodist Church will be giving away free devotional books for the season of Lent.
Lent lasts forty days, not counting Sundays, and starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. The forty days represents the time Jesus spent in the wilderness, enduring the temptation of Satan and preparing to begin his ministry. Thus, Lent is a time of repentance, fasting and preparation for the coming of Easter. It is a time of self-examination and reflection.
The church is excited to supply this aid to anyone who would like a copy. It can be emailed to you, or you may have a printed copy sent to you should you wish to provide your address. Should you wish to receive a free pdf of devotionals, you may reach out to:
There will be an Interactive Stations of the Cross during Holy Week, 4/17-19/25, from noon to 8:00 pm in the church’s Social Hall.
