Freja Fest at Senasqua this coming Sunday.
The event is free but donations appreciated if you eat the food provided.
The organizers say:
“This year we’ll have a May Pole to dance around with recorded music. The weather is expected to be wonderful. The park is at the edge of the Hudson River. There is no entrance fee but if you partake of the food and drinks that we provide we hope you will make a donation to help cover our expenses. We’ll be serving meatballs, Johnssons Temptation, grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, cold salads, desserts and drinks such as soda, beer and wine. It’s OK, however, if you prefer to bring your own picnic basket. Park rules allow the use of only park grills, and do not allow pets, spirits or glass containers.
We’ll also have games such as Kubb, and you can learn to play Viking Chess. There will be a children’s craft table and flower crown making. We have exclusive use of the pavilion for shelter.
Come on out and enjoy the close view of the Hudson River and the green palisades on the other side. Please call one of the numbers on the flyer to RSVP. There is NO entrance fee. The park is free to everyone and has facilities and a water spigot. There is ample parking just outside the Senasqua park fence, just next door to a Sailing school.”
