Croton landscape designer Jan Johnsen to speak at the Hammond Museum June 1.
Johnsen's talk comes in the middle of an exhibition she has curated at the North Salem museum and Japanese Stroll Garden.

“The Art of Stillness: Japanese Garden Principles in Focus,” curated by Croton’s Jan Johnsen, has been on at the Hammond Museum in North Salem since April 5. On Sunday June 1 at 3 pm, Johnsen will give a talk entitled “How to Place Five Rocks.”

“Jan Johnsen, an admired landscape designer and author, lived in Kyoto, Japan and worked at a Japanese landscape architecture firm in Osaka. In her fascinating Powerpoint talk, she offers inspiring landscape design tips that can be used in both residential and commercial outdoor spaces. She also explains, in clear terms, how to place five rocks.”
