Brewster man accused of raping an adolescent girl at the Half Moon Bay Marina makes appearance in Croton Village Court.
Eighteen year old Azgan Mataj was arrested last January 13 after a more than two month investigation by Croton police. He is free on $7500 bail.
On January 14, the Croton Police Department announced that it had, the previous day, arrested 18 year old Azgan Mataj of Brewster, New York, and charged him with the rape of a 15 year old female the previous November. The rape allegedly took place on a boat in Croton’s Half Moon Bay Marina. Mataj was arraigned in Croton Village Court and released on $7,500 cash bail.
Today, January 22, Mataj returned to court for his first formal appearance. The Chronicle was present to report on what transpired.
