Anti- Trump/Musk demonstration at Mt. Kisco Tesla dealership draws hundreds.
Crotonites were present among activists from all over North Westchester County who showed up to protest. Mt. Kisco police kept cool as lots of drivers honked approval.
FEBRUARY 22 — Several hundred demonstrators gathered along the street in front of Mt. Kisco’s Tesla dealership this afternoon to protest the policies of the Trump administration and DOGE chief Elon Musk. The action was organized by our region’s local chapter of the progressive organization Indivisible and other groups.
The local Indivisible chapter, called CCoHOPE (Cortlandt, Croton-on-Hudson, Ossining, Peekskill), also helped to organize a protest at Senator Chuck Schumer’s office in Peekskill a week ago. (See this week’s front page of The Gazette for photos and details.)
Protestors stretched out along several hundred yards of sidewalk facing Kisco Avenue. Signs calling upon drivers to honk in approval of the protest were very effective, judging from the loud and constant klaxoning that filled the air.

Editor’s Note: In these tumultuous times, the Chronicle plans to cover political events of this kind as often as we can, by both pro- and anti-Trump forces, particularly when Crotonites are involved. We have put out a call on social media, which we will repeat here, for a Guest Editorial along the lines of “How Trump’s election is good for Croton.” We have not had any takers yet, but please get in touch if you are interested in submitting such a piece. I've removed a comment suggesting that anti-Trump, anti-Musk protestors are mentally ill. While we give wide latitude to opinions in this Comments section, this violates the policy against personal attacks and hate speech, and also the admonition to be polite and respectful.
And when the $5k checks get delivered to the taxpayers due to the efforts of Musk, I guess they’ll all be sending theirs back?
