Allison Samuels and Theo Oshiro elected to Croton-Harmon Board of Education
2025-2026 budget and propositions also pass.

Allison Samuels and Theo Oshiro.
In what could be seen as a partial upset result in a hard fought campaign, first time candidate Allison Samuels was elected to the Croton-Harmon Board of Education, along with incumbent Theo Oshiro. They will each serve three year terms.
The two other candidates, Leslie Pollak and Will Begeny, did not win seats on the board.
The district’s press release on the results can be found here. The results of the budget and proposition votes are:
“The Croton-Harmon Union Free School District announced today that the 2025-26 budget presented to the community was approved by a significant margin with 1470 YES votes and 349 NO votes. The community also approved each of the ballot propositions:
A Vehicle Proposition for the purchase of five (5) vehicles using existing funds, grants, or reserves with no impact on taxes and no additional debt incurred.
A Proposition for the Croton Free Library in the amount of $985,392”
We expect at least the unofficial vote totals for all four candidates to be released in the next day. We will report on those, and also provide commentary and analysis on the election, later on tomorrow. Meanwhile the Chronicle expresses congratulations to the winners.
